EDK Support

The Xilinx^® EDK (Embedded Development Kit) allows the designer to build their FPGA at the system level, easing the integration of PowerPC or MicroBlaze processors.

Alpha Data provides a system level module, LB2PLBv46, to allow the designer to interface between the Alpha Data local bus on ADM-XRC-5T1/5T2 cards and the PLBv46.

Xilinx^® System Generator Board Support Package for ADM-XRC FPGA Cards

Simulink^® from The MathWorks™ is a powerful graphical modeling system which allows complex systems to be designed using a block diagram methodology within the Matlab environment.

Xilinx^® System Generator for DSP is a blockset for Simulink^® which allows the modeling of fixed point systems and allows its use as a schematic/block diagram design entry tool for generating FPGA firmware

The Alpha Data System Generator Board Support Package provides example template designs which allow the VHDL produced to be targeted easily at an FPGA based board. Example wrapper code supporting host interaction and data capture to on board memory are provided for our most popular FPGA boards.

MATLAB Toolbox/API for ADM-XRC Series

Alpha Data are The MathWorks™ Connections Program partners. The Alpha Data MATLAB Toolbox provides an API of MATLAB functions for controlling a reconfigurable computing board, allowing Matlab to be used as the primary software development tool. The Toolbox exposes much of the functionality of the ADMXRC2 API of the ADM-XRC SDK, from within the familiar MATLAB environment. Thus, applications can combine the power of Matlab's mathematical and graphical functions with the flexibility and performance of reconfigurable computing.
